.The Essex County Standard has described Act Along with Alice as an "excellent method of introducing the concept of theatre to children". Teachers have said of previous productions that "the children haven't stopped talking about it, and several parents have commented on the fact that their children came rushing out of school… just bursting to tell everyone what an amazing treat they had just had".

The experience of live theatre is something that can stimulate and develop children's creativity, especially when they are given the opportunity to join in!

Mad Dogs and Englishmen has gained acclaim in the East Anglian region for its work in Theatre in Education. Act Along with Alice is an interactive performance workshop, which offers pupils the opportunity to develop their speaking and listening skills in English at Key Stage 1 & 2. Pupils will:

Experience an enjoyable and entertaining professional performance.

Engage in whole group participation in the drama.

Gain a sense of ownership and contribution to the evolution of the story.

Develop confidence in storytelling and communication skills.

Improve their understanding of spatial awareness.
